question
I just put new wires and they are arching
what could make this happen

I just put new cap and rotor and also plugs

Where are they arcing, and what kind are they?

they are arching in between the wires and thru the valve cover and manifold
they bwd wires from oreilly and they are 7mm

If they're acring in that many places, take them back, and get better ones! That should not ever happen.

Personally, I'd recommend doing my MSD build your own kit I did a write-up about. It's the best bang for the buck, if you can do the work. Otherwise, there are alot of opinions about this. Do a search about it, and then you can decide what's best for you.

Stupid question....how do you know they are arcing? Can you see it?

they aint arching no more
they were arcing a all over the place
the problem was with the distributor i put a new one and the problem was solve
it runs great know
all the parts inside the distributor were rusted an the cover underneath the rotor was crack

Moral of the story: keeping drugs out of your ignition components will prevent your spark plug wires from wanting McDonald's.
