Problems With Mx3 1993 Gs

Post by Ashton Janzen »

My 1993 mx3 gs has week spark, i was talking to a friend and he said try the hei mod, i have got new cap and plugs done to it. did not really help at all, and then recently while driving when my car comes to stop my car dies. I found out that what could be causeing the would be my EGR valve. Does anyone have pics of the wirring for the hei mod and the location of the EGR Valve. I hope that will fix my car. Any other tips or things i should do.

I am pretty sure it is not the EGR, but to make sure GND the TEN in Diagnostic mode. If you get the code 15, that means your EGR is bad. Does it always die at a stop?

Code 16 is your front O2 sensor (closest to the radiator). I would replace that.

I had this problem awhile back and it was because of a tear in the intake boot. I wraped it with electrical tape and it's fine now. And yes it's a temp. fix...
