Has anyone put this "jex smart chip" on a KL-ZE?
Its 21usd "buy it now" with only 10usd shipping to me here in Canada? Says a 22hp gain, but u know as well as i know, that if this could produce 22hp, Im sure MAZDA would have added this to the car b4 selling it??? I would think this way anyways...Juss curious if its worth gettin or not?

Don't waste your money, all those things do is kill your gas mileage. You won't notice any power increase.

If it's that cheap. no! ... It's just a resistor in a fancy box. you pretty much will never find a chip that cheap, unless it's just an everyday eprom chip.

if you want an effective chip for a KLZE email probinator at probegtze@hotmail.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. There are tons of guys running his eprom chip, it works like a dream. and its 45 bucks shipped.

Will the Klze run on just the K8 ECU? and can you install this "probinator" chip easy?
Im Planning to do a swap, was just going to use K8 Ecu, so my cruise and all works, and get a SAFC to fix air fuel mix... is this not a good idea?
Sorry to get in the way, but figured it follows the same type of question lol.

Thanks for the info on that chip i posted...I figured as much it's junk as MAZDA would have put this on the car already if it raised that much HP in a little resistor...
FOR JOSH: Im running the NORTH AMERICAN 2.5L ECU with the KL-ZE cause i had to remove the KL-ZE INTAKE due to it hitting the BRAKE BOOSTER, and the HOOD unable to close...I also used a NORTH AMERICAN 2.5L INTAKE instead of the 1.8L INTAKE to suit...Unsure if it made a diff, but they were available, So i used them...I dont think using the 1.8L intake would b the way to go, but im a little unsure about it...
Possibly in the future, the MX-3'ers should get together with the PROBE GT'ers for a SWAP of KL-ZE INTAKES for prefferably the "MS8 INTAKE" and or a NORTH AMERICAN 2.5L INTAKE as the PROBE & MX-6'ers can use the KL-ZE intake without a thought, While were limited to the "MS8" or North American 2.5L intake instead...Back in 2001, I sold my KL-ZE intake for $585USD to the highest bidder, that was without the T.B. even, just the INTAKE sold for that!!!! It paid for a good portion of the entire KL-ZE swap, which was great!!
Anyone know any PROBERS OR MX-6'ers that would be intrested in trading a KL-ZE intake for the "MS8" intake?

The Curved-neck ZE as well as some curved-neck North American Millenia DE's have the same intake manifold with the square runners. You can't get nearly as much for an intake manifold now as you can back then. There are possibilities of finding Probe/Mx-6/626 swappers looking for trading IM's, but for the most part, the KL31 cammed ZE comes with a straight neck, that's the ideal ZE to have, and with that, they dont need to get a new IM, it comes with the right one.
You can check out ProbeTalk.com and Mx6.com to see if anyone wants to swap, you can even check on here. There are ways to get the straight-neck to fit in an Mx-3, some people would maybe be interested in it for their Mx-3. Personally, I find it's more work than it's worth, the only benefit is that you match the VRIS points with the Kl31/36 ECU's, but the curved neck is suppose to be better flowing (as well, 2 90* bends for the intake isn't efficient for air flow), but hard to say.
