Domestic heads just owning all sorts of imports

Post by Juans_93_MX3 »

Gotta love this video
http://youtube.com/watch?v=k_mQ_4hee40& ... ed&search=

I would own a import over a domestic anyday (for a 13/14sec car)

But for a true 1/4 Mile monster, domestics are just too good

http://youtube.com/watch?v=2lQX3cOAbes& ... ed&search=

Of course, I would still choose a Supra over a Mustang Cobra/any other domestic only because Supras are so rare.

just because it's rare you'd own it?
what's the difference between 300hp, 500hp and 800hp Poopra? They all run 13's

Thats true. Many 700hp Supras that still run 11s :x
But yeah, I would probably own one over a Stang just because of the rarity.
A Stang would still smoke most of them tho
Hell, they would smoke ANY Japense import

Anyway, to discuss the video, anyone here the Vtec kick in those Hondas? Lol.
Domestics own everything

A "Stang" would smoke most of them? Mustang is a very broad term. There are V6 Mustangs, too, you know. And I don't think that would smoke a Supra. :P
No more MX-3.

that Kenne Bell Supercharged stang is a beast. Look at that engine just wanna come alive.

Either way i don't think domestics and imports can be compared. There totally different cars. There both modded in such different ways. Of course there is going to be battles over which is best, Persoanlly I think its opinions.

Just remember that NSX's, Ferrari's, Porsche's, Lamborgini's, Bugatti's... etc.. are ALL imports if they are in the US ;) (or canada for that matter) And.. heh.. when compared to any of those cars.. a stang is.. well.. its just another ford ;) Now the Ford GT Supercar.. well that one gets my respect.. as does the Saleen S7 Supercar ;)

you don't have to own a car just cause its rare, I own 68 Charger, its rare, but its not why I own it. It looks nice, goes fast and of course its also rare.

Imports > Domestics (on the track)
Domestics > Imports (drag strip)

Is that how you really think? Is that your general rule of thumb? Does this rule of thumb only count for stock cars or modified?

"Imports > Domestics (on the track)" See World Class LeMans GT1 Series Notice the American Corvette team. The one that has been kicking butt.

"Domestics > Imports (drag strip)" See John Shepard Well known in the DSM community, with is 7 second 'import'.

Every car has 'potential' it's the driver and his/her team that make the car what it is.

All I know is I own most the stangs and SS in my area, with my little MX. Even wupped a stock cobra. Most the domestics with simple bolt ons I beat pretty easily. But see I have the clear advantage I drive a MX3

Imports > domestics on the track? says who? How about you run Dodge Daytona on the track, we'll see how those imports compare
