Should I part out '93?
Should I part out '93?
My son just totalled out our '93 MX-3 (got hit in the drivers door and rear quarterpanel) and I was wondering if others had advice whether to sell it as a parts car or part it out. It was a decent little car, 4 cyl w/ auto trans.

well whatya know...
My 93 GS SE suffered the same fate... BEFORE I bought it! Prior owner did a FrankenGraft on it and repaired the damage by cutting up another MX 3 and welding the Driversdie rear corner, wheel well, strut tower in and replacing the hatch and Drivers door from the doner vehicle as well... did a pretty damn good job too as the car tracks straight and adide from some teal paint peaking out from under the raspberry in a couple spots (shitty mask / paint job) its preety good. I added strut bars to take some of the load of the FrankenWelds.
However - this repair was done to my car a LONG time ago... wouldn't be worth doing these days...
If I was deciding between a part out and selling it out right as is, I'd put it up for sale, waste the required amount of time not getting a buyer, then part it out.
Good luck!
