Western Annual Mazda MX-3 Meet 2007 - Kelowna, BC

Post by wyldside »

Western Annual Mazda MX-3 Meet 2007
Kelowna, BC
Date: Jul 14th, 2007
Time: 11:00am - 3:00pm (cruise and dinner to follow)
Location: City Park parking lot - 1600 Abbott St., Kelowna, BC
Fee: None

Calling all Mazda MX-3s from Western Canada and USA, it's time for the 8th Annual MX-3 meet in Sunny Kelowna, BC. The show will take place from 11:00am to 3:00pm PST. A convoy cruise around SE Kelowna will take place afterwards, followed by diner at the Orchard Park Mall Milestones Restaurant. People are welcome to take advantage of the nearby sandy beach and park facilities.

Since this is a public park, please be respectful of the premises and keep noise to a minimum (no squealing tires, blasting music, etc). There have not been any problems with MX-West and park security to date, and it should stay that way.

I just checked my airmiles statement and I have 902 air miles. I only need 900 to get to Kelowna, so it looks like I'll be flying in.
Have fun paying for gas!

Hey everyone.

I was chatting with Kevin Gee on the phone the other day and it was suggested that instead of going for dinner at Milestone or Cactus Club on the 14th after the cruise, why don't we just have another BBQ type meal back at the Fintry campground. People can just grab a few groceries to pitch in or those who are not can contribute a little $ towards food. BYOB of course. Then we can make a post meet feast. What are your thoughts. Don't get this mixed up with the BBQ we are having on the Thursday we arrive in Fintry, but same kinda thing. It would be a lot cheaper than dishing of money for restaurant food, drinks and tip. There is parking at the campgrounds, as long as vehicles are not staying after 11:00pm (except those who are staying at the grounds of course).

yah, the gas is going to kill me. the last fill at 43ish litres gave me about 290km out of it. its going to take me 4 tanks just to get there and back. with the stock ecu i was not getting any cell codes but i think i might have some bunged o2 sensors :( one more thing to change out before going. on a good note i powder coated my first car part tonight which was a spindle, due to having to change the ball joint and wheel bearing....i must say it looks freakin sweet, just have to see how well the paint holds after curing tonight.

Yeah, I saw a high of 38 Deg C a couple days (real feel 43 C). That sounds about normal for Kelowna. Hopefully no one has TPS sensor issues again. I have a feeling that I will. I'll have to try cramming a bag of ice under my hood.

Yea Kelowna is abit hotter the normal this year. I called my rents in Vernon (30mn away) and it is a few degrees hotter then normal, make sure you have sunscreen and a shadyish area.

TAKE LOTS OF PICS FOR ME! I am missing out
