'93 MX-3 GS in stock for a long time

Post by dmac »

i have '93 MX-3 GS which I have not turned on for about a year. would it be wise to just turn it on? or shall i need to put some oil on the engine first?(one guy is telling me to take off the spark plugs and spray some oil through the holes first) thanks all!

It won't be that bad for the car. You might want to check the battery and change the fuel though.

is is what I would do..

sitting for a long time, cylinders can become dry, it can put alot of wear on your rings.

Replace the fuel, change the oil, unplug the fuel pump relay and unplug the disty, turn it over a few times to get oil through it. Maybe put some oil in each cylinder.
