Mazda X-Series Meet - Calgary (Canceled)

Sat May 26 14:00hrs - 16:00hrs (Canceled due to lack of interest)

Where
South Centre Mall, Calgary, Alberta
SE Side of parking lot, close to Safeway.

MX-West will again be hosting the Annual MX-Series Meet. This year the event will be known more as the Mazda X Series meet since all X series vehicles are now welcome, including MX-3 Precidia, MX-5 Miata, MX-6, CX-7, RX-7, RX-8, & eventually MX-4 Kabura, etc. Spread the word around to anyone with an X-Series vehicle.

Please note: No burnouts or loud music permitted.

Food and refreshments available inside the Mall and Safeway.

yea as long as weather holds ill be at street legals on Friday night.

itll be my first time on a track so i probably will screw up a launch or two but hopefully ill figure it out before the end

As long as you have fun. That's what counts. There is another Edmonton Race event going on Saturday (I think). I'll probably have to wait till after Kelowna to take my car to the track. I should break in the engine properly before putting that kind of stress on the engine.

yea, looks like rain all weekend so as of right now i dont think the track is running, which sucks i was looking forward to it.

Well I will be there but probably with the Saturn SC2. I dropped off the KLZE heads today to get machined (should be done by Thursday). I'm in a real rush to get the MX-3 back on the road because the Camry is dead now too. Stupid timing belt.

Just so everyone knows; this was the last year for the Mazda X-series meet. Jen and Mark were the only people that showed for this event. I feel like crap since they both drove from the opposite end of the city to be at this event.

Sucks to hear, but unfortunately I could see it coming. People are so busy and these other car clubs probably only plan one trip per summer (MITM). That's my guess.

Yeah I can see that too. I know the Miata groups are usually busy every weekend from now to the end of summer. They are usually cruising all over the place, especially Kelowna at this time of the year. The other groups are simply not devoted enough and would rather just show up at MITM. That's fine, we'll leave it like that. Less things to worry about for next year.

There's a little coffee night coming up next week on the Alberta Calendar. Does anyone still want to do that and just hang out and chill?
