Difference between 4 cyl and V6 brake master cylinders?
What are the difference between the 4cyl and the v6 non abs break master cylinders? i can't recall what my 4 cyl one even looks like cause the car is sitting at someones house in storage till i can take it out and strip it. I had a chance to look at my v6 one and the metal housing beneather the resivour is much shorter than the one on my escort gt... I want to upgrade to a 929 M/C and brake booster but i'm worried about it getting in the way of my intake... does anyone have any good pictures I can look at and any good knowledge about any of these brake master cylinders?

Not quite. You will get more pressure from the V6 version and even more with the 929 version, but it is less pressure for the amount of pressure you are putting on the pedal. So that it will have a greater max pressure, but requires more effort. This is good for racing since you have more control over the braking. Might not be so good for dailey driving since it will just be more work and you are not trying to stop as quickly as possible. Also, the tires play a big factor in how fast you can stop. So that if using the same tires, but changing the MC to a larger bore you can still only stop as fast as the tires can maintain grip. The trick is that the larger MC should make it easier to maintain the tiny edge between locking up the tires and stopping as fast as the tire's grip will allow.

This is a car that will rarely see the street in fact any time it sees the street i'll have to use a second set of tires/rims ....
i figure upgrade the booster and m/c then when i can afford get better brake calipers also

You mean a track car? Then I would definately get the 929 upgrade and some super blue brake fluid, SS brake lines. I bet with the above and some Hawk race pads you won't ever want larger calipers since you'll stop on a dime.
