people vs. stupidity....a losing battle

Today I called a japanese engine importer in my state and I told him I was looking for a j-spec 90-94 mazda 323 gtx 1.8t. We came short of an arguement because he kept insisting that there was never a 1.8t for a mazda 323. That the only motor was the b6t. He then mentioned he had a "bp dohc turbo performance motor". I told him that's the engine I'm talking about. He said that this type of motor was never made for a specific car. That it was made for any performance application. Correct me if I am wrong, but I have never heard of a motor made that didn't come designed for a certain car. And on top of all that, his prices were outrageous. Sorry, just had to vent.

if the motor never came on any cars, why are they selling it? i sympathise. somebody once said that if one is having difficulty understanding the concept of infinity, think of it in terms of human stupidity.
