Tyres: Having a different aspect ratio on front from back

Post by TheBlackMoth »

I am renewing my front tyres and wondered whether it would be ok to fit tyres with an aspect ratio of 50? (The back tyres are 45) It seems like a very small difference, so I thought I might get away with it, but just wanted to verify it with someone more knowledgeable!

Yup. I'm running 50's on 16's and I'm sure other people are as well.

But I will have different aspect ratios on the front and back (50 on front tyres, 45 on back) This won't cause any problems?

might look funny if u get the same width cuz if u get a slightly wider tire with a slightly smaller aspect ratio it will be very close to the same rolling diameter. the smaller u go for width and aspect ratio for tires the less weight they are meant to handle.
