HOLY s---.

Man i don't think any kind of driving can save you in that situation. Whats going on in that video? Was it a sloped hill? Sheer ice? Never seen ANYThing like that. Explain this situation more, this is mind blowing!

It must have been sloped since the when the cars are sideways they are still accelerating down the street. Still, what the hell are those people doing driving without chains?

People are here are the same. We don't get snow, but it gets down to around 30F during the night so the roads can become slippery in the early morning. Most people are smart and drive slow, but all the idiotic SUV people barrel down the road thinking their car makes them safe when their size really does the opposite.

Are chains legal in that area?

That video was insane! I've had some sketchy moments myself on sheer ice, nothing nearly as bad as that though!

What happened to the fire truck? Did it start sliding too? The video cut off just as it came on the road

I wasn't aware there were places where chains are illegal. Obviously you'd get pulled over if you were driving around on a sunny day, but if there is ice like that it just seems like you'd need them.

I live in the saskatoon, and we get alot of snow here. I have NEVER once seen chains.

Studded tires are around, but mostly peopel use winter tires if not all seasons. We just get used to it. The first week peopel comletely forget how to drive in snow, but then it sinks in and they drive abit smarter.
