WTB: 96 Rs Manual Tranny

I need to buy a 96 Rs tranny I blew my final drive on mine and my mechanic could only find a 95 tranny and its not interchangeable so I m screwed till I find a tranny myself if anyone can point me in the right direction even

Why is it not interchangable. I'm no expert on RS trannies or Canadian MXs, but I thought all B series motors that are FWD could use the same trannies. There are several B series cars that I know can have the tranny taken out and put into a MX. Protoge, Kia Sephia and others. They might need a different tranny mount or axles, but they will bolt right up and the electronics are the same. The speedo gears need to be swapped sometimes, but we are talking minor stuff. Hopefully one of the 4 banger guys can enlighten this post a bit more.
