[WTB] Left Front Fender, headlamp, turn light

Post by OROutdoors »

I just bought a teal '93 mx-3 with a slipping clutch, wrecked hood and left front fender as a project car. I've read through For Sale forums; it seems that left front fenders get mangled more often than right front fenders. I wonder why...

Anyway, I'm looking for a left front fender, left headlamp, left front turn indicator and hood. If you have any of these please let me know. If you have it and it's teal already , that's be even better. I know, you're rolling on the floor laughing at me for specifying a color of used part when they are rare, gut hey, maybe it'll work out. Please let me know. Thanks.

If you want to drive down to California, I know where you can get a teal hood, headlamp, and possibly fender too.

Found a auto-recycling yard...

Post by OROutdoors »

I found cool website last night I thought I'd share with you: http://car-part.com/. It is a list of many auto recyclers, and their inventory. I'm sure the web site lists only the dealers who pay for the site. You can search by region, state, year, make, model and specific part. It presents you with a list of used part dealers, their location, phone price and estimated condition.

For example, listing front brake rotor for 93 mx-3, I find 30 listings, 10 of which are within easy driving distances, and prices are from $35 to $15 each. Some say $call, which after a few calls, I find out that they aren't in the best condition and they seem to want to set the price according to the intelligence of the caller. (I could be wrong about that).

I located an auto recycling yard here in Portland that should have all the items I need. I'm going to check them on Saturday to see if I want the parts in their condition. I think local is best if it saves money (no shipping and all). Anyway, when I originally posted this thread I had made some calls, and gotten discouraged because the places I had called didn't have the parts I need.

Thanks for the responses from those of you who have parts. If the local items aren't suitable, I'll be contacting you. Thanks

Old news. I don't use them, cause most of them list expensive prices.
