And here is a write up I did some time ago on how to make your 92-93 mx-3 harness work for the gtx ecu. This is for the 92-93 only. I dont know how to do it for the newer models.

Ok.. this is assuming you have the gtx ecu and are using the 92,93 mx harness.
Ok, You do realize that you need the 4 wire TPS plug from a automatic protege to plug into the sensor on the bpt throttlebody. If yours came with it then youre in good shape. There are 4 wires on that plug and 3 in the mx3 harness. The 3 are easy.. there the same color and everything.. just cut off the plug on the mx3 harness and attach the 3 matching wires togethor. on the 4 wire one. Now you should have light green wire with a red stripe left over. This wire needs to have 5 volts going to it for the tps to work. Attach a piece of automotive wire onto it and soldier it up.. Run this wire into the car to the ecu.. Now you need to just attach it to the wire going to 2K (highlighted in blue) which is the same color (green with red stripe).. Just attach it to it.. make sure you do not cut the wire completely at the ecu since it is going to your airflow meter.

Now that you have that done, find terminal 2L on ecu side of the engine harness its a light green wire with a white stripe (Highlighted in red). This wire is for your throttle position sensor and is going to the wrong place.. So I know this is going to feel strange but you need to cut it and leave enough to reattach it. Now find terminal 2M with a black or brown wire with a white stripe (highlighted in green) and cut that wire. Now soldier the wire that was on 2L to 2M. Dont worry about the wire that came off 2M I think it is for the check engine light or something.. So I wouldent worry about it just tape it or something. So you have the signal wire done..
Now the last thing that needs to be done is your oxygen sensor.. Youll notice that the mx3 has one wire while the bpt has 3.. This is an easy fix. The mx3 wire is red I think with a black stripe. You may have to get a 3 wire plug off a protege to fit if you dont have the part that came with the bpt. Soldier the wire on the mx3 ecu to the similar color wire on the plug.. Its the one in the middle.. I think its the same color. The other two wires left over should be white with a red stripe and a just plain black one.. The black one goes to any ground.. and the white with the red stripe needs to go to a wire that is going to your diagnosis connector. Just open up the tape and look for a white wire with a red stripe. This is the 12 volt signal for the heated part of the oxygen sensor, just attach it to that wire and youre good to go.

And there you have it.. Thats all you need to do to get your bpt working with the mx3 engine harness. I dont think I forgot anything. Make sure you soldier everything so that there is no chance of them coming apart and tape it up good.

The info I am dishing out.. I should be charging for this. :P
