SAFC 2 RPM reading...

Post by Nomad_69er »

I just installed the SAFC 2 on my N/A B6 DOHC engine but the RPM reading is off by about 1000 RPM. Has anyone seen this problem before? By the way the rest of the turbo and goodies should be installed later this week....finally, after 2 years of neglecting the project, it's finally coming together!! Muahaha!!

Thanks for the help!

Yeah, thanks for the link, I used that for hooking everything up but I was wondering if any one knew where to find a better RPM signal? Everything else seems to be working fine, the idles perfect and it's not running too lean or rich (it seems, have to wait to get the EGT gauge to know for sure). Thanks again guys! And to keep everyone updated the Walboro 255 fuel pump is in and the holes are cut for the intercooler piping! One week left until the deadline!

EGT thats old school tech man save up for a AEM wideband or The Innovate “Standalone Gauge Kit" link below there really nice a bit $$$. somethink u can look in for the future upgrade. insalled several of them. try and see if there is a rpm signal from the back of the gauge cluster. since i u have a 94+ mx-3 could get a better signal there if there is one there.
