Exhaust system

Post by Tropical Emerald 1993 »

On the front end of vehicle, just a bit after exhoust tube from the motor goes down there's a interlaced steel part. If anyone knows what I'm talking about I'd like to know what's its function and can it be replaced?

I have stock '93 4cyl and very happy about it.

this is called a flex pipe and its function is to prevent the engine movement from flexing the exhaust and breaking the welds
