MX-West 3rd Brake Light

Post by Darcy »

Had some free time today (yay being on call) and whipped up a few templates. I've got the altered MX-West logo on my car right now and it looks pretty cool...
It is 11" long (don't have a legal printer, maybe I should steal the office printer for a few prints) but I just used electrical tape to fill out the ends so not too much extra light gets through.

Here is the template I used for the above shot. I liked it a bit better than the official MX-West logo, but I did refine the brush width technique on my final copy:

Here is the first attempt I did on the official logo. I didn't like the width of the letters and stuff, so I decided to hand draw the letters (above), but here it is anyway:

The full size images can be downloaded from http://darcy.imgaming.com/gallery/mx3
I will bring out some extra copies to the Kelowna meet next week for anyone that is interested.

I like it Darcy. Turned out better than before and now you don't need the stickers. HEEHEE And you can show it off in Kelowna next weekend to the other members.

Yeah, i'm pretty proud of that. I might cut out the white parts where I didn't print black ink to get it a bit brighter, but that takes too much time and it's already in there.

Don't know if I can make the Airdrie meet, but we might be able to swing up sometime.
