Yeah those JL's are nice. Also if you want some seriouse power, type X from alpine. Also consider the 2006 alpine type r. I've heard some good things about them, and you can get 2 for under 200 bucks on ebay. Thats what i'll be doin soon.
Question tho, seeing as theyre dual voice coil, and if you have two, what kinda amp do you run? class d mono amps? two chanels amps?

I just saw that Jackhammer on the MTX site. You've got to be kidding me. 369 pounds? 22 inches? 2 feet tall? 6000 rms?..... Are they on crack too?
Well, at least you know if you get one, if someone tries to simply steal it... they'll be in for a rude suprise when they try to lift it up fast and F@%K up their back!

haha i'm not suprised they laughed at you...if you get the jackhammer, your gonna be spending TO MUCH money. Its gonna take up the entire last half of your car. The box is going to be very hard to designe, and your going to need to make a metal frame to hold the subwoofer in place. You'll need something like 5 amps, 3 batteries, 6 capacitors. 6000 watts is rediculouse. I think its pointless, you'd be better off geting 2 15's or 4 12's.......but it woudl be sweet none the less hahaha..

hey if you really got the cash, and you would want something more sensible then the jackhammer get a single 9500 DD ( 12 inch sub ) and give it atleast 1/2 the juice it needs.....your ears will never be the same...simple breakdown, your talking atleast $2750 for this setup.
