Need estimates on windshield!!!
Need estimates on windshield!!!
Has anyone here had to replace their windshield in their MX-3's? I have a '92 rs with a rock chip that started between the wiperblades then the crack is creeping all the way across the windshield. In Texas you can't get the car inspected if the crack is in the line of view with the driver. Just need to know how much it's going to run me. Thanks in advance!!!! Later, Robert
BTW- I heard that you can drill a small hole in the windsheild to stop the crack, but I figured I would just end up shattering the whole thing.
:p

Re: Need estimates on windshield!!!
I request a price... It is Canadian Money. One garage, specialty was windshield, and was proprose 240$ with installation, and if the rubber was worn out, 350$ w/installation.
In US dollars, if you are lucky, 180$-240$.

Re: Need estimates on windshield!!!
Thanks for the help Manach!
I am glad that it isn't WAY over priced since the cars were made only a few years. I guess I will wait till the tags and inspection are up till I get a new one since both of the stickers are on the windsheild in Texas. Again thanks for the post and if anyone else finds someplace cheaper or closer to home let me know.
Thanks,
Robert
