Custom Intake system

hello, i currently have a HKS Massive air Intake filter, i installed a custom intake pipe, and afterwards when i started my car, my RPMs dropped dngerously low and the check engine light was on... a little help here guys?

Did you connect the MAF back?

Here's the link to the procedure for pulling engine codes -
4 cyl -

If you follow that and find the code - it will tell you exactly what's wrong....

ok new question... by the way, thnaks for the links, those will definetly help.

ok now, i want to get a new intake pipe, perhaps one built for the mx-3 4 cyl. DOHC, and a turbo? i dunno yet, but definetly a new, made for the mx3 intake pipe... i've been looking around but all of them seem... illegal... any sugestions out there?

If you're refering to the manufacturers warning "for off-road use only!", dont worry... This is a legal disclaimer because most dont conform to smog-regulations... In fact, I've never heard of a car with one installed "FAIL" the pollution tests because of it...

There's plenty on EBay... Like this one (4cyl)...
