Best lightbulb for headlight?

Post by freakyalien »

I recently replaced both of my headlights with new bulbs, but I'm not really satisfied with them...oneof them is very yellow and the other is white...although I think that is becuase of my single foggy lens...

anyway...what is the best lightbulb for driving? Not counting projectors or anything aftermarket, just the bulbs that go in the stock housings.

 Oh no, now I know you haven't done a search first. There's a whole shatload of info and posts on this from last winter/spring, actually tons of info. I think once you've done that then you'll probably be asking for peoples feedback on specific bulbs and the like.
Try that.

Hmm... dunno given I don't know where you are or what spec your talking about... We got H4 lamps here so my input mightn't be appropriate. The "location" in your profile can be helpful sometimes.

The Silvania Silverstars came in more than just 9004 and I believe they also came in H4 which will satisfy the E/AU/J Spec lights.

Agreed, used PIAA's for 2 years until the materials inside the bulb fatigued and rendered them less usefull. For the money, silverstars are best fix for the time being.
