Aftermarket item that holds the Hood up? Help me out her

Guys/gals. I'm looking to find something better than what mazda put on my mx-3 to hold the hood up. I want the item to go in the middle of the hood and not the right side of it. I've seen real sweet looking chrome ones, but where do I get this product and if you all have one, what brand? Thanks much, Chris

for more money (i'm guessing) you can just by a kit of pneumatic lifters that do the same thing. i give you props for doing it yourself, though!
