What became of the CARBON FIBER hoods?

I need to replace my hood because some truck backed into me. I thought since insurance would basically give me enough money for a new painted hood I could just get a carbon fiber hood and not paint it. Anyways, there was some talk about carbon fiber hoods awhile back, and I was wondering if there might even be the remote possibility of getting anytime soon. They're making the ugly altezzas now why not make something that looks good and could useful. Thanks for any help.

Well it was me.. The guy that was going to produce them never returned my calls, never followed up with me.. Basically he is an a--..Excuse my french. I dont think its gonna happen.. There goes my deposit.
