To get an MX3??

I'm looking for a car. I'm only 16 years old and only have about 5k to spend. I wanted a 68 mustang fastback but they are way to hard to find, and expensive to maintain. So i've thought about possible getting an MX3. And honestly, i know you all like MX3's (because you wouldn't be at this board if you werent) but is it really a strong reliable car? are they pretty fast?(if i get one i'll most likely get a v6) Please just give me some advantanges and disadvantages or anything i should know before i make my decision. well as long as you get one that has been maintained, you shouldn't have many problems. everycar will have probs, but i don't think that mx3's are unreliable at all.<BR>the only prob. i've heard is that the auto tranny go out down the road, but i'm at 78K and my auto is fine. i drive it hard, too!<BR>they are VERY good with mpg. <BR>30-city 44-highway<P>the 4cy's are slow, i won't lie. i wish my RS was faster, but i'm gonna wait until i have a GS to swap the engine. there are perf. parts for the RS, enough to see some major pwr increases.<P>i'm pretty sure the v6's are fairly fast. i think they are rated at 135hp. so it's faster than a civic.<P>i'd buy a mx3 if i were you. i'm 17 and i got my from my bro. he bought it as his first car(used). <P>btw- he's got a 2001civic LX auto 115hp<BR> i have the 93 mx3 RS auto 88hp<BR>he beats me off the line, but i keep up with him after that, but never catch up.

get an mx-3<BR>there so much fun to drive even my 88 horsepower 4 cyl<BR>all the girls love them so it's really easy to pick up girls and i always get looks driving anywhere and my car is almost stock<BR>try to get the 6 cyl so u can beat some civics<BR>i still beat some but only auto 1's or shitty standered drivers

ok, my reply will be short i've got a black mx-3 gs 93 and it's a very nice car .If you buy an mx-3 you wont be dissapointed it's a good car and it's true that the girl love this car so make your decision
