KLZE automatic tranny mount question

Post by skdrcr »

My friend has a 93 GS w/a KLZE motor and the 1.8 automatic
transmission. The transmission is done and we're going to
swap in the automatic KLZE tranny.

Here lies the problem, the tranny mounts are different.

I know that they are the same on both manual transmissions
but I also know for a fact that the automatic klze transmission
will not directly bolt up to the factory 1.8 tranny mount.

The bolts are different on the transmission where the mount
bolts up to.

My question is which mount can I use to make this swap work?

Do any of you guys know anyone on here running the
automatic klze tranny?

thx, chris

thats impossible. You've done something wrong because the mounts are the same.

Ok, I will be dropping the 1.8 tranny then I will put them
side by side so we can compare the two.

Then I will post up pics so you guys can see.

I will keep you updated

I am pretty sure the 2.5L Auto tranny IS different than the 1.8L.

Good luck getting the car to run though- Mason Holmes tried to get it to work and it did not. He did tons of research beforehand- but the electronics just did not plug up to each other and he basically had to make a whole new wiring harness.

Find him on the forum and PM him or email him.

He is the only one crazy enough to make the ZE an automatic here in America. Although he did it because he as a disability.

Actually- I found his email address:

masonholmes@hotmail.com

I've been really busy at work so I havn't had a chance
to work on it yet. Hopefully sometime next week.
