JDM source in Calgary ?
You can use the straight neck klze but I hear its hard because you have to relocate things, do a search because info on how to do it is on here. You can use the manifold off of the k8 but will loose power. You can use the k8 ecu till you find a kl36 or 31. Just do a search and type in either manifold, swap, ecu or search the v6 tech section. Klze's never come with ecu's. You can just buy a curved neck klze if you can find one? Good luck.

Thanx, John

When this thing hits 88mph, you're gonna see some serious TIHS...!
Thanks, that clears things up a lot.
So basically with a straight neck, I'd probably have to change the location of my battery but with a curved neck, I can keep it in place?
Did most of you guys install the engine yourself, or did you bring it somewhere?
Also, what parts NEED to be changed when swapping the engine, besides the ecu and im?

Please do a search of the V6 performance section because your questions have been asked a million times before. Just search for "ZE swap" and you should find lots.
I installed my KLZE myself.

Want to make some cash if you have some spare time? Just kidding! Well not really, I am not a mechanic nor do I have a garage or a second car to get to work and back if I were to do the klze swap myself. I wish I could do the swap myself and had all the tools and space, it would be fun.
But I get to pay a shop to do the swap for me. wyldside can you tell me how long it took you to swap the klze so I have an idea of how much this is going to cost me with my mechanic? Thanx!

Well it took me around 2 weeks to do the swap since I work during the day and ran into several problems. If everything goes smoothly, then it should take maybe two days or a good 12-16hrs. I had tons of problems with rusted and seized parts on my MX-3 so taking the K8 out was the most time consuming part. I rebuilt my KLZE before installing it, so that was all ready to go. The only problem I had when installing it was that I received the wrong clutch and it wouldn't fit onto KLZE. I had to use my K8 clutch assembly for now. Then some electronic issues afterwards since my K8 Distributor desided to crap out and I had to Install the KLZE distributor with MSD 6A ignition system. The car has been back on the road since Monday.
