R.I.P CF hood.....

Well the warst has happed. FOR ANYONE THAT HAS LOCKING HOOD PINS REMEMBER TO LOCK THOSE BASTARDS!!!! So my car has a bobo right now coming down 3rd street semi comes by (had know idea my hood is unlocked) the draft from the semi and then BLACK!!! The hood meets windshield.....(starts to cry

) But give me a month and it will be back up again.

Does your hood use your stock latch as well?

It has the huck but mine was screwed up so i was just useing my hood pins. I think on my next CF hood i will have a safty cable....

I will get some pic's of it but the funny part tho the hood took it but when it hit, my rear view mirror hit me in the head. That scared me more then the hood.

Getting my windshield done this weekend for only 130 bucks. =) My manager is brother of a glass place where i live so its $80 bucks for the windshield and reist for tools and laber, and i am helping him put it in.

I'm sorry it sounds rude...... but i've done the same thing, It split my fiberglass hood in half. I've sence then refiberglassed it and it looks good. How bad is yours?

Well the CF hood kicked the crap out of my windshield but there is two place on the hood that cracked the hood took it good its still useable. The fiberglass bottom has 3 cracks in it but thats all the damage to the hood. The windshield is a different story.
