MX3\Miata

I was wondering if i could put a miata engine/trans/rear end/ in my mx3. I want to make a rear wheel drive mx3. Or could i put my body on a miata frame? any suggestions[/b]

Well it will fit but you need custom mounts and whatnot. What the easier solution to RWD and actually easier is AWD. If you can find a AWD Protege you can pretty much make your MX-3 AWD with some custom fabbing. Search, there are numerous threads about it.

if your going that far... find a protege and do a body swap.. then u'd just have a AWD mx-3 and a crappy but useful Protege

well to make the MX-3 body work you have to weld in the center tunnel or whatever for the drivshaft from the protege...

what about taking the front clip off the mx3 and swap it onto the Miata chassis. then you'd have a convertable rwd mx3. You could even mod the rear of the Miata with some mx3 tail-lights. Numerous possibilities if you've got the time, know-how, and most of all $$$!!!
