Would like to Install the KLZE. First I have found at least 15 sites selling KLZE engines ranging from $800 - $1700 US Dollars. Parts included with the $800 engine includes just Engine and Trans (5spd) $900 gets engine and trans (auto), $950 gets me Engine , wiring harness , trans (5spd), $1100 Gets me Engine, wiring harness, computer, accesories. $1600 gets me the Corksport KLZE and Computer. Now I am confused Why is a KLZE and 5spd for $800 cheaper than a Corksport klze and computer for $1600?
What would be the best buy? I currently have a '92 GS V-6. Would my wiring harness work with the KLZE? I think it would since corksport sells a recalibrated computer to work with the KLZE. also if I used my wiring harness would the VAF need to be changed to a KLZE model or could I just use mine?
If I did get the KLZE. What performance parts are avalable for it ( Iam guessing any 2.5l part will work )
Another option I am lookin at is a engine and trans from a MX-6 or Probe gt. Cost $400. Now this question prob. has been asked a million times, Will the MX-6 ,Probe 5spd trans work in the MX-3 ( Trans mounts line up. will the axles fit ). If not what are the differences and can the trans or car be modified to fit with simple bolt ons or are we talkin about Welders and plasma cutters?
any input would be helpful thanks.
couple of questions for pros

The MX3 and Probe tranny's are exactly the same. The MX6 and 626 tranny's are the same with a taller final drive.
Your wiring harness is perfect for the swap. So you don't need a harness. Use the VAF from your stock K8 motor with the KL31 or KL36 ECU. that is the proper ZE setup.
When you check out prices for motors you should always make sure that the seller is reputable. Check to see if others have had good or bad experiences with them. Also, get a shipping quote from all of the places you are considering buying from. Some importers will make their purchase price low knowing that they will severely overcharge you for shipping. If they quote you $500 or something stupid like that they are definetely overcharging you. I purposely bought my motor on ebay for $750, knowing full well that the seller lived close to me. He was charging $550 for shipping alone and I just picked it up!

Dont buy a automatic!
MX6, Probe, 626, dosent matter, just dont buy one
Performance parts for the KLZE? Dont know, but I can tell you that a MX3 with a KLZE, full exhaust, CAI, lighter flywheel and 67mm TB engine can hit low 14s so I dont know if you would still want to buy parts with that power.

thats funny my original ze from japan was an automatic dude:) and i persoanlly i prefer the automatics cause you know its harder to abuse an automatic and second the automatics come in the big fat crusing cars that most people in japan cant get going to fast.Juans_93_MX3 wrote:Dont buy a automatic!
