get the most use from a dogpile...

Post by neutral »

Dogpile is a great name for a search engine that sniffs through the massive steaming pile of meaningful and meaningless information that the Net has become. I've been using it for a month or two and like it much better than Google. Dogpile pulls its searches from Google, Yahoo and other search engines. Heard about Dogpile from a couple of propeller-heads, which always sparks my curiosity (occupational hazard). More info is here if interested. http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/search/help/about.htm and the toolbar download link is at the bottom of that page and also here. http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/tbar/

Just tried it but there's no international search I could see. Add .au (thats us) and it went right off track - even took me somewhere I'm sure isn't relevant to the company.

Hopefully it does work for you US based guys - I like the smaller, smarter operators! Not to change the thread but what do you think of Firefox?

Been using Firefox now for about 4 months.. I really like the feature set.. It has conveniences that IE doesnt. Seems to have one glitch that occurs rarely when downloading videos.. occasionally it will stall out, forcing you to use Task Manager to end the process. Other than that.. I really like it. From the articles I have read.. its supposed to be more secure than IE as well. My two cents.
