8) Complying with the obvious request, he casually strolls in the opposite direction, paying no mind to what just happened.

And he thinks to himself, "I wonder if I could find someone to cover my seats instead...Muah hah hah hah".

Was anyone interested in the Integra seats? It's been raining the last few days so I haven't test fit them yet. If no one is considering the swap then I'm not gonna bother. :D (Too much work when you've got 5 projects going at once! haha)

BTW...I can sew but I don't know how hard it'd be to recover the seats. According to Jeff Abrams it's not that difficult. If I can't save up the money for seat covers by winter then I think I'm gonna try it.

Thanks Kenzie, but I think it's probably best to pass on the Integra seat idea. Still hoping to find MX leathers, if not, just might have to jump onto the GB in Victoria, at least it'll be new covers but more work on my part.

None yet, and I'd expect an answer by now. My last kick I think at trying for the leather seats. Doesn't seem to be in the cards. Found a set in north-western Ontario, but they wanted $200. to remove them from the car and another $200. for shipping. All tallied it was going to be around $900. after taxes and all. Way too much for an interior that I can't even see and they won't send pics. I think my only option soon would be the upholstery GB.

Any updates on tranny?

Post by Buckminster »

Hey John we were talking before about transmission for my rs and I was wondering if you had any follow up or leads you would share. I am going to look at a couple of GS's today to see about making one out the two of them but I would rather stick with the trusty old rs sohc if i can find a trans and clutch ata reasonable cost. You seem to have a sense of what is out there. Any tips on the compatibility of escort mtx or protege, 323 and where to find info?
I thought I saw a comprehensive list of what fits with what on this site at one time but I can't seem to find that anywhere now.

Not very conversant on the RS scene, but perhaps Tunes could help you out in that department wrt other RS MTX compatibilities. I've found 2 MX's in J/Y, one RS and one GS. Unfortunately these are stacked at about 4 high and I'm not sure if they will remove and ship the TX's. I've heard of another J/Y that has a couple of MX's also but they are really sticky about any parts because the word is the owners daughter has an MX and they are there as potential source for her (read untouchable). Nonetheless, I'll get their website and sent it to you since I have heard first hand good stories about the same place anyway, so it's worth a try. Won't be able to send info until I get back home after the course I'm on.
PM "Tune's67" wrt previous info request.

Buckminster, I've got a '92 SOHC manual tranny that I could pull before it goes to salvage. Where exactly are you located? How much are you looking to spend? (PM me with info.)

Actually.. I do happen to know where there is a 5 speed in a 93 SOHC MX-3.. car is in a local junkyard.. The engine & trans in that car are intact for the most part.. and it would likely be very cheap probably less than $100 for the clutch & trans..

I've got a lead on some leathers for you. In ontario. in Kitchener, to be exact.

I want them, but not sure if I'll end up going through with it, to put them in my escort..

THe guy has them currently in his escort, and he said he would take 150$, for both seats, centre console, and switches..

seats seem to be in alright condition, but thr driver side has a 2 inch rip on the should part. Probably fixable. Lemme know if you want more info. I can find pics if you want.
