Post by garfy1981 »

im looking for a set of alloys, still not 100% what size to go for either 16 or 17s the cars being lowered 25mm on bilstein suspension as we speak I kinda wanna keep the wheels trucked in nicely like the standerd ones. Anyhow came across this picture of an Mx3 from somewhere, but cant find any alloy with the same appearance. link is below, the mx3 in question is the red one, the rest of the pics are of my mx3. Cheers

After a whole day of searching i finally came across them;
they are made by AZEV. (and not that cheap)
Only problem is that they come in 7.5x16 and 7.5x17 so im not sure if they would tuck in nicely??. Any ideas as to which one would be best and tyre combo ??
Cheers

Are you sure those are the wheels? I don't think they look like a match. The MX's wheel looks like it has a smaller lip and the spokes don't look the same to me.

garfy, I recommend you go back about a week or so on the subject I believe on tires and wheel sizes. It goes into great detail about mass , unsprung weight, wheel / tire size combo's, what's good and not so good. Wheel sizes, weights offsets etc. It's a very enlightning read and may assist you in your decission making. Not really sure what forum it was in.

:D happy days!!
Many thanks for input, no just got to make a decision on what size to go with!!
I know the alloys arnt the exact but after a whole day of searching that was as near as i got! I dont really want to get a set of wheels that need shipping from another country so ive kept my searches to uk based manufactures.
Cheers
