what size are the back speakers?

I have Fusion 6.5 3 ways in the back of mine and they sound bad a--.

Do you guys use just any 6.5"s, or what? I put mine in there, and there is almost no bass coming out of them (Alpine Type S). I'm thinking either:

A) Too much airspace (I dunno if these speakers are open air types?)
or
B) I need an amplifier to push them.

I went ahead and bought an amp, just in case.

amp them if you want to but make sure you amp the fronts as well or else you'll over power the sound coming from the rear. easist thing to do is go to canadain tire or best buy or were ever you go for you system and buy some speaker baffels and drop them in or if you want if your using two or three way speakers just cut the tinsel lead going to the tweets on the speakers and you now have a pure mid bass speaker

Wow, I was about to ask this same question. I have a 94 Mazda MX3 (4-Cylinder, Standard Transmission).

So would these speakers fit in the rear speaker holes?? =

What are speaker baffels? Also, these are components, not composites.

I don't even have rear speakers, but the stock fitment is 6.5". I have only a pair of 5 1/4 JL coaxial speakers up front, and they have been fantastic. I decided that in the interest of sound imaging the rears had to go (sound from the front, bass from the back), and i put a second siren in where the rear speakers usually sit. Our speakers are strange, too, because they've got that triangular fit, not 4 screws like most.. so you pretty much have to modify the speakermounts to make anything fit.

a speaker baffel is a plastic cup that fits behind your speaker like a box it's designed to enclose the speaker and improve base i had to use them in my door panels because water kepted on leaking in and shorting out my speakers
