Does a Protege Cv Boot fit the Mx-3?

Post by Bbqman218 »

I havent found a place that carries CV Boot kits for my mx-3. At mazda they are $90. And I dont want to buy a remaned axle at Autozone for all I need is the boot. Does the Protege's boot happen to fit the Mx-3?<P>

no it doesnt fit. i think a ford probe of the same year fits the boot but i reccomend getting a new axle because its much cheaper if the boot is entirely cracked

I did try the Probe boot. It was too big on the hub side, It was for a 93 probe 4cly automatic. what I did for the meantime was buy some black duct tape and put some more grease in the boot, and wraped several layers around the boot. It hasnt come untaped yet and is working just fine. I Do plan on getting it fixed though, this is just buying me some more time untill I Have enough money to buy a new axle. Thanks for the suggestion . Chris
