FS: BP engine core

Post by What »

I picked up another Escort BP so I could do a flow test of a stock head vs. mine and make sure I'm on the right track. I haven't torn it down yet, but it could use a rebuild regardless...

It would include complete block with pistons/crank/rod/oil pan/oil cooler which should still be together waiting for someone else to take it apart. Also include complete head with valves/cams/etc..

The guy I grabbed it from took the intake and injectors...

$130CDN local pick-up only. If no one here, I'll just try the bargainfinder when I'm done with it. I just thought someone here may be interested. I know of a place in the states with rebuild kits for pretty cheap.

I'm going to simply clean the ports with some sandblasting in the head, so I'm not getting numbers from an old dirty port. When I'm done my comparison, I won't need it anymore though.

Let me know if you've been planning on it and can use the core.

If you don't have access to a sand blaster I can do it for you at work for no charge.

Thanks for the offer Rick... I'll probably just do a quick clean up in my makeshift cabinet... although it sucks, so I may not. :)

I'll let you know when I have the head off.

Hey I have another thought, how much will you ditch the partscort for? And I'm still considering the commander.

Hi Rick, sorry my speed reading skills sucked as I completely missed this post until I came back to check something in this section and noticed there had been a reply.

PM or email me kyle_jones@hotmail.com I don't want a whole lot for the partscort... I may think of changing car plans here though.
