Custom Carbon Fiber Hatch Cover!....any interest?

Post by cduBBz'915 »

ok guys, i checked and called buddyclub2 and got some info about making custom hatch covers wrapped in carbon fiber. (it would be the OEM cover, carbon fiber fabrication) i asked Danny a representative from the company and he said if i could get at least 15 people with interest, they could get this going. here's the info:

-20 people to start
-Price: $290.00 + shipping "buddyclub2 will ship to your house"
-(NEED All money up front to start project)
-will take 1 month to complete project
-quality is Grade A carbon fiber (just like the hoods)

So what do you guys think?.. i really want one of these! Lets try and make this happen. 20 people may seem a lot but i seen (2) carbon hood group buys pull through, now i know this can happen also. This cover would be a great addition to your carbon hood. This is not the actual GROUP BUY, this is only to view interest. If you have any questions just let me know so i can talk to Danny about them.

here's sample photo's that Danny sent me....

So again express interest!!!

wasnt there a discussion a while back about these and it was figured that the heat of the interior and the sun beating down on it, would deteriate them in a matter of months?? not trying to be rude or take away from the gb in anyway just curious of how durable they are, as i would probably be interested.

If the price was $250 canadian including shipping, i might consider it, but $290US seems to high. Im not knocking the idea. They will definatly look cool but for $290US considering were your hatch cover is... and the fact its not something anybody harly ever sees/notices its an exspensive option. Im not trying to knock the idea, if you manage to get 20 people and it goes well that would be sweet. But i think if you could get the price down like $35-$50 it might get more peoples interest.

well the price for the cover is the best i could do. the one you see in the pic goes for $329.00+shipping (for a honda) now $290.00 plus shipping (GB price) for ours is not that bad considering that they dont even have a mold or anything for our cars, and willing to make it. i mean look on the bright side guys. i just thought maybe the mx-3.com community would like to have, and see something good go for our cars, so i'm trying to set this up. but if not i'll be getting one.... but hopefully this can work.
