into gears

i broke something while changing hoses and now my motor idles at 1500(warmed up) versus it b4 at 1000,is it ok to go into gears at 1500 rpms? the broken hose went to the tb...

There are 3 hoses that go into the TB, the intake hose and the two hoses that run coolant thru the TB. Neither of the two small hoses would have anything to do with idle speed once the car is warm, so i'm not sure if your problem is related. When you say going to gears at 1500, i'm guessing your talkin about an atx tranny (hence the forum) and it shouldnt be a problem.<P>Off-topic... 900 post

yea i do have an auto! the hose that was broken run from the very top of the tb (sohc)to the purge silinoid valve thats bolted to the firewall
