Re: Longneck KLZE Pics
Yep-- It will fit if you remove the battery.
However, let us know what happens when the engine bucks as you are accelerating.
The throttle cable pulley butts right up against the clutch fluid/brake fluid resevoir and the throttle body is dangerously close to it as well.
When the engine bucks-- bye bye resevoir and bye bye brakes and you will crash.
Just a fore-warning.

I cant say for sure if he has it done, but a few ppl have fit the straight neck mani and modified it to clear the brake fluid resevoir and it worked perfectly. You just need to tilt the engine forward and shorten the the throttle linkage. I'd be interested to know how he fit it though.Originally posted by atlantamx3:

Re: Longneck KLZE Pics
those are some pretty wild mx-3s.. I like them all, especially the yellow one. I like how the eyelids are molded into the hood. That's awesome. Now if I could only find 17" tires that have white lettering, I'd be all set.

Hey, that shop looks familiar to me, wait....it's our workshop! lol. Glad your happy with the klze swap. Ofcourse we made everything fit right, we don't want people killing themselves because they don't have any brakes!
In about a month we'll finish our own car and have an eaton kompressor mounted on the klze, 300bhp on the way

Re: Longneck KLZE Pics
To make a longneck klze fit, isn't that hard. There are a few thing you need to do.
1. the front enginemount take it out, drill some new holes so it'll lower the engine in the front, a good 2/3cm is more than enough.
2. Fill your front and back enginemounts, you can either use the rr-racing inserts or just use plain rubber and push it in (like we do, and yes, it works!)
3. Put the battery in the trunk, I'm not going to explain how, it's easy as hell. If you don't know what I'm talking about, don't ever start on a klze swap!!
4. The hardest part (and I will look if I got some pictures, I must have some an my camera)adapting the throtlebody. Use the gaskabelpulley (don't know the right word) from the 1.8 and weld it to the axle of the klze throtlebody. This since the pulley from the 1.8 is much smaller, you'll also have to chance the springs. But I'll get back to that with some pic.
And last, chance the airintake, which is easy
Glad I could be of any help.
