Tire shops in calgary??

Post by 93-Spec-Edn »

Hi

I need new tires and was wondering if anyone knows a good shop to get a deal. Also does anyone have performance tires on their stock GS rim? WHats it like driving in the winter? I am thinking of getting Toyo proxies.

thanks

I've heard that the Falken Ziex 512s are a decent 'All-weather' performance tire, but I have not seen them first hand. They have these at Kal Tire.

I just went out to Canadian Tire and grabbed myself a set of Nordic Icetraks for like $65/piece.

Performance summer tires 20,000 km beyond their wear limits are NOT a good idea, but hella fun :)

I have some Kumho Ecsta 711 - P205/50R15 Tires I could sell ya. I got them for my old GS but never got around to mounting them because I got into a car accident. Their new and never used. I could sell them to you for an even $400. That's less then what I paid. ($510)

I've heard that they are pretty good for all season but like I said, I've never tried them out for myself. Just let me know...

hmmm, thats a good deal to be honest, 50 --> 55 will make no different at all.... is there another reason you wouldn't want the 50?

Yeah that P205/50R15 fits a stock rim just fine.

Yes because the lower profile tire will make the wheel well gap look bigger if i am not mistaken? Also the ride will be stiffer.
