Looking for new Tires

Post by MX-West Car Club »

I'm looking at getting new tires for my car and was wondering if anyone is riding on these. Would like your opinion and experience on these choices that I'm looking at. Tire size is 205/40ZR-17. Been reading reviews on the tires and everyone seems to like the Kumho's.
Here are my choices:
-Kumho Ecsta MX
-Kumho Ecsta 712
-Falken ZE-512
-Dunlop FM901
-Pirelli P7000 Super Sport
Thanks in advance.
[ March 24, 2003: Message edited by: MX-West Car Club ]

I have the Kumho's right now. They are a good deal for how cheap they are. I was going to get the Pirreli's that you listed, but somebody told me that they had a lot of road noise. The Kumho's have almost no road noise, they are mega quiet.

Hey Len-Dogg which Kumho tires are you riding on. How well do they grip on dry/wet conditions (especially on wet conditions) and tire ware.
Thanks.

Still have to save some money to fix my tranny and don't forget my other expenses as well. :( Besides, I'll get a good deal on the tires. :D

After about a month and a bit of driving on my new Kumho Ecsta 712's, WOW. These tires are good in the dry and wet. Finally a good performance tire at a cheap price.
