MX3's why the getting so expensive?

Post by Talon_66 »

Ok, here is a little background. In April of 2001 I bought a 92 MX-3GS, Power doorlocks, windows, 5 spd, with roughly 145k on it. I bought it for $6500 cnd then. I have since crashed it, and am currently looking for another one. But is it me or are these prices outrageous? Here I will post a few ads
(just a reminder all these prices are in Canadian!)
#1 93 MAZDA MX3 Precidia GS, 5 spd, V6, blk, 165,000 kms, sunrf, pw, pdl, CD changer, snow tires, service records, no accidents, exc cond $8700.
#2 94 MAZDA Precidia MX-3, pw, ps, pdl, sunrf, silver, 5 spd, V6, 119,000 kms $8500 obo
ok. So what do u guys think?
What should I be offering these whack jobs? I figure I should be offering around what I paid for my 92, 2 damn years ago!
I figure I should post here, cause u guys are mostly down on the coast. Whereas I'm in the interior. Any info would be great

Are you buying in Kamloops or in the Lower Mainland? You may find cheaper deals in Vancouver. More supply. I think the price will depend on the condition of the vehicle, history and maintenance records. Offer what you think is reasonable. One of them does say OBO. Smaller place like 'Loops will have less choice and therefore higher prices. Go to Van and choose your car. Just watch for beaten up ones and out of province. Good luck hunting. Take your time too

That sounds like around the average price of MX here in Vancouver.... specially if there is no records on the dec report.... usually u can bring down the price at the point of sale by alot... and don't sound like u really want the car becuz then they will see that and not let the price go lower...

I have been looking on Buysell.com, and those are ads from buysell. They are in Van. Nothing available in the Loops. I have made 2 trips to van to check out about 5 cars, all turned out to be **** or sold.

Try the AutoTrader, there's some MX-3s in there that are under $7k. No to sure if you check these ones out yet or not. Worth a shot that the one you want is here. Good luck.
