Nobody answered the first time so I'm tring again
There's a strange sound when I shift. It's like rubber or something like that. What's the problem? How can I arrange that?
------------------
Brainless
93 Red RS
geocities.com/j_micho (last update 30/07/2001)

Micho, I too have a 'cluncking' sound when I shift but it's because of a bad rear motor mount. I am going to have it changed soon. I hope that in your case it's something as easy to identify and repair. Bye

try changing your front and rear shifter bushings!they are 12$(for a pair, you need two) Can$ or so at mazda and take about 15 min to installed if they are not stuck in rust like mine where!
might not be the source of your problem, but if you fell to much "slack" in your shifter, it's a good indicator!
------------------
