Re: Ground Control Coilovers ??
you will be underdampened and your struts will be blown in no time if you do decide upon any of these struts for your coilovers.
But those are the strut for which those ground control coilovers are designed for....
So what solution would suggest?

I will get them a call, TsiMiata. And thanks.
In the mean time. Can anyone share their experience in regards of what set of struts they've used WITH a Ground Control Setup?
I really need the input, since I am DESPERATE to get my GC's

I have MS adjustable struts with my coilovers in the front, and Tokico blues in the rear. I recently had my front struts out after about a year and a half, and they were in excellent shape - just like new. I have not had the Tokicos out since I installed them, but they are still in good working order as far as I can tell.
The MS struts are expensive, but if you want reliable struts with your coilovers, they are the way to go. Very stiff ride though, even on the lower settings.

id recommend koni's valved to the spring rate that you are choosing in your gc kit.
ms struts are supposedly awesome when paired with ms spring because they are valved for ms springs which, iirc, are probably about 50-60% of the spring rate the ground control kit comes with. im sure these ms struts would be best match on the market for any pigtail style spring since ms springs are no longer available. spring rates of a normal lowering springs are as close as it gets to the ms springs that the struts were tuned at.
does anyone remember if ms springs were progressive or linear cuz struts tuned for progressive springs may not dampen linear springs properly not to mention at nearly double the spring rate, it wasnt damping the springs properly to begin with.
but ya, to answer your question, ms struts will fit but it will not be optimal for handling or for damping the gc spring rates as koni's valved to your spring rate.

Cool thanks guys.
So I can use the MS or MazdaSpeed struts right? and I will be fine. Now is there any other place than corksport (too expensive there)?
And The Koni's valved any decent place where I can get them?

GC's are available with different spring rate, are they not?
Steeb, there would you get the Koni's and order them to the specifications?

most reputable koni dealers will be able to valve koni's to your specifications. one such person that i know of is crx lee on the honda-tech.com board. he is an extremely knowledgable koni rep and a enthusiast as well. he's will be able to help you with whatever strut questions you have and possibly help you find a closer koni distributor if you need without trying to rip you a new a$$ hole
