1st of all, mx3's have 4 struts, no shocks. and 2nd i've had the springs and yea they are harsh, so i'd suggest the Ford ZX2 Struts that people swap in. they're soft, and are able to handle such stiff springs, and also lower drops. they're cheap at around $180USD... but take a lil custom work to fit in. either way i'd suggest them. :D good luck!

do they make the camber look really bad with the dropzone coilovers? becuz i dont want my tire to look like they r bowing out when i put them on my car. i hate that when wheels look like that. if they make it look that bad then ill just nvm with the struts for now till i roll in some more money.

The dropzone coilovers are total ****.
Stay away for all costs....

They are not made for the Mx3 (or any other car for that matter). The Spring rate is way off for any struts. Dropzone coilovers are plain dangerous to drive on.

If you don`t believe me, try to get ProtegeSTS to comment.. or just use the search function.

The dropzone`s cost just $99 Usd, and theres a reason for it..

Don`t go cheap on probably the most important part of your car safetywise. In the long run, it`s just not the thing to do.

the thing is, they're there for those who can't afford a quality suspension, so if they want dropzone, let them be. they will learn later. just like how your hks induction kit is the real deal, right? :freak:

ohhhh *burn* :confused2:
they're a little stiffer than GC coilovers.. but not too bad with the mix of ZX2's, so i've heard. if you HAVE to buy the springs, then get nothing else but ZX2's!

eh hem.. not to be mean but u really need to search more. :p haha

to start, when you lower a car, as curt has repeated endlessly in the past, you HAVE to get an allignment, and usually you HAVE to get camber bolts. they're cheap, you can find em on ebay or wherever lol

and about the ABS option, the struts at oemfordparts.com actually have the extra hole for the ABS (when i bought mine they came like that without even saying, even though i dont have ABS).. you could even try calling them up! they'll fill you in.. and the woman there knows about the conversion being done on mx3's because most of us have talked to her. LOL so go out and experiment!

Think I might even have the box somewhere.
HKS got cool sound too, and excellent installation manual.
