Re: What is Wrong
I am not really familiar with the suspension/steering components of the MX-3 because I have not really looked, but here is something you might try. Jack up the front of your car (so the tires are off the ground) and then grab the tire/wheel and see if you can pull it towards you or away from you (if you are facing the whell...as you would to remove it). From what I understand, there should be NO movement towards or away from you. If so, there might be a worn out component or a loose nut. Like I said, I am not sure about the front wheel drive cars, but I know on rear wheel drive cars, there should not be any movement towards or away. The BEST thing is to have a ASE Master certified mechanic check it out. The ASE certifications are like the MCSE (for computers) in the fact the there are many test that need to be taken to be fully certified, but you get a patch/badge that shows you are certified when you complete just ONE test and pass. Any ASE certified tech is usually better than a non-certified one, but if you have someone check it out, see if you can have an ASE Master certified tech look at it. They will know what is going on because they have to know their stuff to get the Master certification. I would imagine that they might check it out for free or for a minimal cost. Just because the techs look at it, does not mean that you HAVE to have the work done. Hope this helps.

Re: What is Wrong
Have you had your car's steering aligned? If you live somewhere where there's a lot of potholes/bumps/rocks etc, it can mess up the alignment and make your car tug one way or the other. Also, when was the last time the tired were balanced? That makes a difference too. If it's not either of those...I'd say have someone look at it. Mine's bad about staying aligned because my rock driveway is about half a mile long, and it's purgatory on my car!
------------------
Zoom Zoom Zoom

Re: What is Wrong
hehe..ive needed an alignmenet for the past 5 months.
Thats probably it. Alignments arent that expensive but I dont think it should be the numero uno thing on my things-to-do-list. Im at 75k miles, so timing belt is coming up...
Elena, don't misunderstand. A pro isn't someone who sacrifices themselves for their job. That is just a fool.

Re: What is Wrong
These timing belts will go forever, I'd get her aligned first. Then it will be more pleasnt to drive
What's $50 off your timing belt savings? Also, if you're going for a belt replacement and can spare an extra $50-100 you oughta look into replacing the water pump too. Since it's got about the same procedure as doing a belt, (in what you have to tear down anyways), and because these belts last so long.
my 6 cent
mason
MX3SE
