kvr slotted disk brakes
kvr slotted disk brakes
does anyone have this on there car? and how good are these brake disk?
Re: kvr slotted disk brakes
I have the KVR slotted rotors on my fronts. Stops real good. The brakes are just a bit louder than they were stock. I like em, I wish they had some coating or something to stop the edges and center from rusting though. Where do people get the rotors that always seem to stay nice and shiny even in the places the pads dont contact. That would be nicer.

If it really concerns you, you can paint them with Rustoleum or the like.

yea if you wanna die...
do not paint your rotors with ANYTHING. You can take them and have the cadium(sp.) coated. That will protect against rust.

Stop being stupid. You can safely paint the rotor center and edge with whatever you want. Obviously, you don't paint the braking surface of the rotor.

Re: kvr slotted disk brakes
I have the gold cadmium plated slotted rotors. They don't really look gold except in the very center where the pad doesn't touch. Otherwise, the rotors just look cleaner than the last (stock) ones.
I combined them with Hawk HPS Street pads from tirerack.com and at first the bracking was noticeably harder, but not anymore.
16" ASA wheels, Yokohama Prada Spec 2 tires, Tokiko Premium struts, H&R Lowering Springs.
Re: kvr slotted disk brakes
why would the edge and center be rusting if they are cadium plated?
Re: kvr slotted disk brakes
Two different people. Mine are rusting because they are not plated.
