question on timing?

My car is idling at 1100 rpms since i cleaned my throttle body,it was idling fine at 750 before.I was trying to check my timing,so i connected grd and 10 before doing so.There was no difference in my rpms and there isnt a timing mark that i can see located on pulley with my timing light.somebody help?? 92 4cyl sohc

JoJo, Have you tried looking into the online service manual? The timing marks are on the front[passenger side of the car] of the engine down near the crankshaft pulley..check out the manual; let me know if you have'nt found it and we'll try it from there[I'm sleepy...sorry]....Manny
