Poll Which Rims?

Post by BlazerCrew »

I have a silverstone metallic MX3 and I am debating which 17" rims I should get.
I am on a budget so I am tryin to find them cheap.
Any input would be appreciated.
Should I get...
RS Racing F1
The Zoom 7's, the Speedy Tech D's, or the Axis Seven's.
Konig Helium
Motegi Mr7
Or if you know of any websites that have good tire and wheel packages let me know. Thank you

i'd definately go with the heliums in bronze. they are copys of mugen mf8's like rota circut 8's. personally i think the rota looks better but the heliums are lighter so that one isnt hard. too bad they dont have 16's or it would be one of my options.

Out of the ones you listed I like the Zoom 7's the best. My personal favorite wheels are the Enkei RS5's. I think they look hella nice on the MX-3. They are $125 each ($500 for 4) from www.discounttiredirect.com. I dunno if you have looked on that site, but they have an "Interactive Wheel System" where you can see what the wheels look like on different cars. They have alot of wheels for the MX-3. You can also change the color of the car also. You have to have shockwave, but if you don't it's a free download. It's well worth it in my opinion.

Get a set of Volk Racing rims or Racing Hart rims.
The mr-7's are nice looking but way to damn much and just about everybody got a set of those for christmas.

I have to agree with VisXTC about the Enkei RS5s -- they would look sweet on an MX3. And i know you're on a budget, but my dream rims are the Volk Gram Light (5 spoke). If you were to win the lottery tomorrow and get those rims, i would be very very (very) jealous of you.
i'm not really familiar w/ the other rims, but i am a devoted five-spoker when it comes to the MX3.
[BTW: i'm saving up for the RS5s]
Cheers,

Thanks for all the input... I will look into the
RS5's. Does anyone know of a picture online of an mx3 that has those rims on? Thanks

Alright I've pretty much narrowed it down to the MR7's and the RS5's. Since no one where I live has MR7's, not to mention any modified mx3, I think I might go with them.

Please try the following site to see how the wheels match.
TireRack.com
I sometimes go there for fun and enjoy the site. You choose make and year at 'shop for wheels' and it'll be piece of cake after that.
bungo

whalentire.com has really cheap prices. I'd check them out. They only carry the Konig's on your list but they have some other nice rims too.

Don't get the Motegi Mr7's. They are very nice rims, but there are just wayyyy too many of em' out there. I would go for the RS Racing F1's.
UPDATE: I ended up getting MR7's a few days after this post lmao. I like em' to much :\
[ February 12, 2003: Message edited by: zytariuk ]
