brake lights

ok heres a dumb question with im sure a simple answer, the break lights on the right side of my car are out, but when i hit the break pedal they turn on. So does this just mean i need new bulbs? thanks for any response!

you mean the lights are out on the right side but the brake lights are still working? you will need to replace the bulb because they are dual filament bulbs and one filament is burnt out, in your case the lights one.
